Day 3 – April 1

The wind picked up last night and the anchorage was a little bumpy, finally calming down around 4 AM.  We’re off to Ft Pierce, as any other destination would be too far.  We have a nice west wind so we put up the jib and motor sailed south weaving our way through Wabasso. With the wind easing near Vero Beach, we douse the sail for the final stretch to Ft Pierce.  We get a slip for the night and tend to some boat organization.   After a non-cockpit shower, we are off to try and find some pizza.  The one place that was recommended was closed so we end up back at the marina restaurant.  We have a couple of boat drinks and a light dinner.
