Day 1 – March 30

Well after a few delays, we are finally away from the dock.  We are motoring into a head wind, so there is no chance of putting up the sails to help our fuel.  Fuel costs; I paid over $5 yesterday for ethanol free gas, almost as much as we paid in the Bahamas last year.  Along the way we stopped at Titusville Marina, and filled all of the tanks and the generator spare tank.  34 plus gallons @ almost $5, you do the math.

We motored south hitting our first draw bridge at Addison Point.  The wind is a steady 10 to 15 on our nose.  We were going to anchor on the south side of the bridge, but decided to press on as there is time restriction when the bridge opens in the morning.  We later realized that the timing was on the week days, and tomorrow is Saturday.  We finally settled at a Route 520 bridge.  There are two other boats already moored and we make our way further to the east.  Even with the bridge, it is still a rolly anchorage.  About midnight, the wind finally subsides, which makes for a quiet night.
