Day 4 - 1/5/11

We left Peck Lake and headed to Lake Worth where we were to stay until we had a weather window to cross to the Bahamas.  After our adventures from the previous day, we hoped for an easier one.  Traveling south from the Stuart area begins a series of draw bridges which significantly slow your progress down the intracoastal.  Although it is a short run between Peck Lake and Lake Worth, the bridges slowed us down, having missed the opening times for 2 bridges by a couple of minutes, which cost us 1/2 an hour per bridge.

Ariving in the North Palm Beach / Lake Worth area, we took on fuel and water and pumped out our holding tank before dropping anchor.  We anchored in an area named Old Port Cove, which was crowded.  We tried several spots and felt that we were too close to other boats and moved.  We settled in a rather shallow area near our boat buddies.  We were in about 3 - 4 feet of water at low tide, which was fine.
We showered before having dinner and I checked our water consumption noting that it was about 10 gallons.  Our next showers aboard will have to use less water.
