Well we're off!!! We left NSB at noon after completing the load out (ala Jackson Browne). Finished the main sail install adding the last two battens. Almost lost all battens overboard yesterday unwrapping them from their coiled state.
Had a minor calamity doing our pumpout before leaving. Tripped on the life line trying to pass the stern line to the dock master, and smashed my foot on the deck, and that left a mark.
It was a beautiful day, weather in the 80's but breezy. We fought an outgoing tide and a head wind as we traveled south. We made it to Titusville, and stayed south of the bridge as they have restrictions on opening during the morning. As we anchored the wind died. As the night settled in a slight mist enveloped where we were moored. We had a nice dinner and went to sleep early. About midnight the front pulled through and with it came a northwest wind which howled through the rigging. I got up and cheked the GPS, and we were not moving.
As you can see, we had a lot of organizing to do!!!
