Woke up this morning to 64 degrees in the boat. Was beautiful sleeping. Yesterday, early evening we got the last band of storms before the front moved through. We had crazy clouds, and I was expecting to see a water spout appear out of the clouds. Well the torrential rains came, filling the dingy with a couple of gallons water. After the rains, twin rainbows appeared to the south of our boat; one full and the other partial. Just incredible!!!! Here are some of the pix from yesterdays storm.
Today we ran some errands to pick up a couple of things that I had not bought before we left. We walked out to WM (West Marine) to get a new bilge pump. When I tested it before we left, starboard worked fine; port nada. On our way we ran into a nice produce stand and bought some fruit and veggies. It was such a nice day to be outside, sunny with temps in the high 70's.
After dropping off our purchases, we went out for another walk around the city. The walk south of the marina has changed as they have created a walk along the river. The original cochina and marble blocks have given way to a walkway. Afterwards we went further south of the city into the neighborhoods that we had never investigated on previous visits. We found this one neighborhood on a small salt water pond with some craftsman and colonial homes that were just amazing.
